THERE IS NO OFFICIAL DEFINITION. So please stop associating it with the colors black and red and pointy necklaces. I myself do not don any of that gear, no, I just get the random "freak" comments under the breaths for LAYERING my clothing. Why are people such idiots?

Things like Hot Topic, and these bands breed idiots. Even the people who don't listen to this. I see people all the time wearing a Unseen shirt, and they're still stupid. They're too busy buying the right jeans, the right shirt, and making sure their mohawk is perfect to do mean anything. They're just as stupid as the "posers" in my book.

Why do I mention this? I'm sick of seeing these idiots pseudo-elitist bastards who don't even know what punk is. I act elite, I admit. But I don't shop at Hot Topic either.

Punk has a definition, it's just not written down. Punk is ALWAYS against the system, against mainstream, etc.

just because someone shops at hot topic, doesnt mean theyre trying to hard. maybe, just maybe, they like the clothes they have there, or they like the shoelaces they sell, or some other random thing along those lines. i know that there are quite a few people that shop there that do try to hard. but, even still, thats not everyone that shops there.

The only time I go to Hot Topic is to get band shirts. (Hot Topic is the only place around here to get band shirts, and I don't feel like waiting for a band to tour here just to get a shirt.) And I hate going in there. So many poseurs and goths trying to wear all black and be cool. And they over-price everything. What a great way to be punk.

I hate when punk becomes more about the fashion, than the music. Punk is supposed to be unfasionable, but now people are making a certain style, and if you don't dress that exact style your not a real "punk." They have jeans that are pre-torn WTF is that?! These stupid belts, chains, and bracelts with spikes on them. Even band shirts. Kids will wear say a Poison the Well shirt for instance, and only know one song by them. And those fuckin UFO pants. The stupid hairstyles. The gothic kids painting their nails black, and wearing black make up. And the stupid "emo" look. It's all bullshit.

I kind of dress punkish, but I don't go far with it. I just love everything punk. A few patches and band shirts...

I also hate people that think you have to own every single album, and know every single song to wear the shirt of a certain band.

Punk is considert a fashion since avril,GC and such band appeared .All this little stupid girls and boys wearing ties, spike-bracelets, army stuff and all that- it's so idiotic! I don't dress punk or something, have a few band shirts and stuff, but being punk is not about fashion, it's a lifestyle. I realy can't stand this instant "being punk" thing, because someone starts to like a band only when they hear it's "in". And real punks are "out" since this comercialism came.

I love Hottopic for just one reason only...THE PANTS....i kept trying to find a style and stick with it but it just got fucked up after awhile. All i really liked anyways was the pants. And all you goofballs saying "Well its all overpriced and shit" I can tell ya a secret...C.L.E.A.R.A.N.C.E. R.A.C.K. basically i think its bullshit how everybody has to be judged.
