Though I usually have a hard time listening to the tremolo in Raine Maida's voice I have to say I am completely blown away by this song.
Exceptional lyrics! And Steve Mazur's guitar just soars above and around Maida's voice like something ethereal and earthy at the same time. And when they crank up the volume I can lose myself entirely in the song.
Apart from comments about this nomination, I'd be interested to know whether any one of you has a particular song in which you can immerse yourself entirely, as if nothing exists except for you and the music.

All right, I am talking to myself for the moment. Having listened to this song at least fifteen times since the last post I appreciate the sly musicianship. Listen to the instruments as they enter at double speed and give the song an urgency it cannot otherwise attain.

Well this is the best OLP has sounded in recent memory, perhaps since "In Repair", this is a great single from a band we all feared their best days were behind them. This gives me new hope. Still, I haven't been pumping "Angels Loosing Sleep" on my home stereo, so im not totally amazed by it. On the off chance I turn on my car radio and it comes on, I'll turn it up for the good olp* days..lol

As far as a song that sings to my soul, Gimme any of the recent John Frusciante Cds on random. If I had to pick 1 single track, i'll take Frusciante's - A Corner, off DC ep...
